Mohammed Nalla

Mohammed Yaseen Nalla is an investment professional with more than 15 years of experience in global markets and a diverse range of competencies. Previously based in Johannesburg, South Africa, he has now relocated to Canada and remains actively involved in global markets as an investor, strategist, and consultant.

Before his move to Canada, Nalla served as the Head of Macro Research at the Public Investment Corp. of SA (PIC), which is Africa’s largest asset manager with AUM over $200bn invested globally. Prior to his role at the PIC, he was the Head of the Global Markets Strategic Research team at a large investment bank in South Africa, where he gained 10 years of trading floor experience.

Nalla has extensive experience in analyzing, investing, and structuring multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives markets. He is also a member of the CFA Society Toronto’s Institutional Asset Management committee.

In addition to his work in the financial industry, he has also served on the boards of numerous NPOs, where he aims to use his skills to address societal issues such as sustainability and poverty alleviation.

Nalla’s expertise has earned him recognition from major financial networks, including Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, Business Insider, CNN, and others.

With over 26 years of experience in the financial markets, Peet is a highly skilled expert in market price analysis, trading strategies, investment research, fund management, and financial market education.

Peet’s exceptional skills and knowledge have been widely recognized, as evidenced by his recognition as a top-rated analyst in the Technical Analysis category by the Financial Mail for four consecutive years from 2014 to 2017. He gained valuable experience as the market analyst for Nedbank, one of the largest banks in South Africa, before leaving the corporate world in 2017 to pursue his interests.

Currently, Peet provides trading and investment research consulting services to various clients, including major banks and brokers. Additionally, he serves as a Key Individual (KI) for some Financial Service Providers, ensuring the legal and regulatory aspects of financial markets are met.

Peet is an active board member for the Financial Technical Analysts’ Society of Southern Africa (TASSA), an IFTA (International Federation of Technical Analysts) accredited society. He is also a registered advisor at the FSCA (Financial Sector Conduct Authority), reflecting his commitment to high ethical standards and regulatory compliance.

Peet holds a BCom (Hons) in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg, underscoring his strong academic background and dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
