This was a week where a more hawkish than expected Fed brought the bull market to its knees. Indeed, inspiration for our cover image (a new addition at the request of a subscriber) -  picture is worth a thousand words and suitably with alot of red this week. But even in the carnage, there are some indications of opportunities. Details in our full report for paying subscribers.

We now have 6 'No Position' stances  but identify 5 range trades for more active traders. We highlight the details in the full report for our paying subscribers.

The Fed’s Last Hike?

2023-07-24T22:30:42+02:00July 24th, 2023|Tags: , , , , |

In a Fed decision week, the market is waiting to see if this will be the last Fed hike in this cycle. Our market carousel still has 2 open long positions and 2 open short positions although we have moved one to a partial profit take. We hold 6 'No Position' stances as we wait for better price action to inform new entries. Our trade ideas this week include a mean reversion trade on an SA retailer, a potential break out from a big base on a global tech stock that had been consolidating for a while and a momentum trade on a global mining ETF.
